Oil Paintings - Animals and Birds Series

Old critter friends have found their way into my paintings. I am drawn
to bear, fox, coyote, and hummingbirds.
The bear are introspective. They lumber through life getting into other peoples garbage then
flick it off and amble on. I see the fox as a protector. Unless you're a cat. And then there's the
coyote, the trickster. When I started painting the coyote I began to see them in my yard
and was serenaded by their wild calls in the night. I seem to draw to me what I paint.
I'll refrain from painting lions and elephants.
Then there are the hummingbirds. Pure joy, magic and strength far
beyond their tiny structure.
